Santa's Workshop is a place where kids up to age 10 can come to hand pick items to give to their families/friends/individuals in their life for Christmas.
Santa's Workshop is on December 7th, 2024 from 9:30am-12:30pm at the Ridge Church located at 1095 Ridge Road, Shippensburg, PA 17257.
Any child able to participate in selecting presents for family members can be registered and participate. There are no income guidelines or address guidelines. We recognize there are limited opportunities for kids to hand selected gifts so any child ages 1-12 are welcome to participate. Everyone is welcome to participate with pictures with Santa!!
Children will be registered via the church's website to start the process. Once Registered you will be able to order tickets for the event. The tickets will determine the time and when they are coming. The ticket will be given digitally and you can either bring that via the digital ticket or have the name of the person who ordered the tickets for us to find your tickets at the registration table to check you in. You have to come at the selected time of your ticket and show up about ten minutes early to get signed in.
Registered children will arrive 10 minutes early for their designated time for participation. They will receive a sticker indication the time they are to participate. Each group of children will wait upstairs with adults until the time of their group is announced to visit Santa's Workshop. The group of children will go to Santa's Workshop with Santa's helpers to choose gifts and will then go to the wrapping room to wrap the selected presents prior to returning to the individual who brought them. This allows the child a chance to still select gifts for the person who they came with in secret.
When you sign up for tickets select "Shopping with Caregiver". If you want them to go with approved volunteers (all with child abuse clearances) for supervision select tickets "Secret shopping with volunteers". Your timeslot for when you go is on the ticket title.
Santa's Workshop is funded by donations. Most of the donations come from members of the Ridge Church! We believe that the spirit of giving is an important thing for children to learn and one of the main reasons we do this event. Monetary donations, purchased items that were donated/collected, and an Amazon registry are the main supports to Santa's Workshop. Thanks to everyone who is/has helped?
